Why is Ussuri Bay special?

Ussuri Bay is a distinct area for the entire world. Because it is the home to the most spectacular glass beach. Isolated by the high cliffs, shining with twinkly snowflakes this beach holds a long story. A story of how pollution turned into beauty.

The glass beach of Ussuri bay was a wasteland that was used by a porcelain company. That land was full of litter. For instance, there were porcelain, Beer bottles, wine bottles, and vodka bottles dumped on this beach. During that period this beach was full of waste and extremely polluted. Furthermore, the Russian government restricted the area from the public since it was dangerous with edged glass pieces and harmful chemicals.

How did it change to a tourist destination?

Did you believe the Greek poet Menander when he said ” time is the healer of all necessary evils”? Well here is something which can prove it. The time when the glass beach was wailing made it strong and stunning. Due to the gradual erosion which caused due to the waves of the pacific ocean the glass pieces were blunted. They were molded into beautiful glistering glassy marbles over time. Since then the beach was fascinating than ever before. Moreover, this beach became famous all over the world.

Thousands of foreigners and local tourists started visiting the area to get the experience of this elegant beach. Now Russian authorities have declared this beach and the surrounding area a protected zone. This area is safe for swimming in the summer. Ussuri Glass beach is more stunning in winters when glowing snow highlights the colorful marbles.
