Gardens are hotspots full of flora and fauna. They always leave us with a long-lasting impression of mother nature. The relaxing sensation and the extensive feeling gained by just watching a garden full of flowers if incompatible. Gardens are not just a terrain for entertaining but they provide habitats for many species. Especially some gardens protect species that are extinct in their natural habitat. Imagine yourself walking in a garden full of blossoms and greenish trees. Gardens are a great example of how humans can create beauty by cooperating with mother nature. Today we are going to travel you through the most beautiful gardens in the world.

 05) Jardim Rio Botanical Garden

The Jardim Botânico district in the South Zone of Rio de Janeiro is where this beautiful garden has been established. This place draws the attention of many travelers around the world. Jardin Rio Botanical Garden has been established by King John vi of Portugal in 1808. Moreover, the main purpose of establishing this garden was to accustom plant species in South America. However, now it has an enormous collection of species from across the globe. There are 900 different varieties of palm. And there is a 2460-foot-long entrance road with a line of 130 palm trees. Those are descending by the same tree. Jardin Rio Botanical Garden is a UNESCO biosphere since1992.

Spreading over 130 palm trees only 40% of the garden has been artificially cultivated. Furthermore, in the rest of the garden, you can see a natural Atlantic forest. This forest stretches over a side of the Corcovado mountain. That makes this garden a wildlife conservation area. In addition, it habituates 140 bird species including Channe Built Toucans and White Necked Hawks. Also, Jardin Rio Botanical Garden runs a research institute. That facilitates in identification and conservation of the environment.

04) Desert Botanical Garden 

This is a divergent garden from the all gardens that we are going to explore in the article. The Desert botanical garden is a home for plants that have been adopted for arid environments. Also, this is a special garden with a huge environmental value as these kinds of gardens are extremely rare. The Desert botanical garden in Papago Park is located in Phoenix, Arizona. It is superintended by Arizona Cactus and Native Flora Society. Moreover, they run a nonprofit museum to provide research opportunities and education facilities. This area is open to the public from 8.00 p.m. to 5 p.m. You can get information about special exhibitions via their website.

Desert Botanical Garden spreads over 140 acres.  There are 50,000 specimens located in the garden. 1/3 of those are native to the area. Furthermore, there are 379 species that are endangered. There are 4 trails that you can take in the garden. For instance, the Sonoran Desert Nature trail, Center for the Desert Living Trail, Discovery Loop Trail, and Wild Flower trail. The Wild Flower Trail is more beautiful in spring. Furthermore, there are 3 main areas in the garden. Such as; the Australian Collection, Baja Collection, and South American Collection. 

There are 13, 973 Cacti that belong to 1320 varieties. Also, there are 4028 Agaves from 248 species. This is a place which is offering a great service to the environment. Because they protect many endangered species. And some are extinct in their natural habitats.

03) Brooklyn botanic garden

Brooklyn botanic garden is a gorgeous landscape located in  Brooklyn New York. It spreads over 52 acres. Brooklyn garden has been opened to the public since 1910 and every year over 1 million people travel here to witness this stunning scenery. Brooklyn botanic garden is home to 14000 trees that stretch over 8 massive gardens. Moreover, this garden has 200 cherry trees that belong to 42 varieties. Imagine the captivating view that these trees draw when they blossom into an ocean of cherry blossoms. Also, there are hills, ponds, a waterfall, and an island that has been constructed according to the Japanese style. There are several parts to this garden. Such as Cranford Rose Garden, Shakespeare Garden, Water Garden, and Children’s garden.

Brooklyn Garden facilitates researchers with their conservation work. There are 300000 preserved species in their herbarium. They conserve many species that have been extinct in their natural habitats. Moreover, This garden creates a relaxing and soothing environment that can calm your mind with the aromas of flowers.

02) Claude Monet’s Gardens

Claude Monet’s garden is one of the most beautiful gardens in the world due to the blossoming poppies, irises, and peonies. This garden is constructed by Claude Monet. Claude Monet is a famous French artist who is also one of the founders of the French impressionist. His art pieces always resembled his strong passion for gardening. He used to paint beautiful garden landscapes of gardens full of lilies. One day in the 1880s he was traveling on a train across the Giverny region of France. After he leaned down and look through the window, he Fell in love with the area and decided to rent a house in Giverny. In 1890 he had earned enough to purchase the land in his dreams. After that, he started converting that land into a massive garden full of flora.

He was creating sceneries for him to paint. Lots of his drawing indicates the landscapes that he had created in his Garden. In addition, the Japanese bridge that has been put up over a pond is one of the most eye-catching parts of the garden. The bridge was covered with lilies to create a wonderful view. At the end of  Claude Monet’s life, he stated that this garden is the best artwork that he had ever done.

After his death, his son granted this garden to the Academy of Demo Arts. The academy put a heavy investment and an enormous effort to renovate the garden and make it the way that Claude originally left it. Moreover, they displayed the large collection of Japanese woodblocks amassed by Claude Monet. Further, In 1980 it was open to the public. Every year over 500 000 people travel here to see this beautiful garden.

01) Kenrokuen- Japan

Kenrokuen Garden is one of the 3 great gardens located in Japan. It is a private garden that is situated in the city of Kanazawa. Kenrokuen is one of the oldest gardens in Japan that has been initiated in 1620.  In order to consider a great horticultural Japanese garden, a garden must encompass 6 key elements. They are spaciousness, seclusion, artifice, antiquity, water courses, and panorama. Kenrokuen garden is home to thousands of species. For instance, there are 8750 trees and 183 species and plants in the garden. Moreover, there are hills, ponds, cottages, islands, and tea houses to add variety to this garden. The tea house that has built-in 1774 is the oldest building located in the garden.

And another amazing feature that this garden holds is the oldest water fountain in Japan. It is operated using natural water pressure. Furthermore, this is a place where it holds an amazing beauty throughout all the seasons. Do not miss it if you ever got a chance to experience this fascinating vista. You have to pay 320 yen for an adult and 100 yen for a kid as the entrance fee.
