I know what you’re thinking once again same old veggie burger, well your wrong come take a look at this Indian style burger which will make you say “DAMN, THAT’S A GOOD VEGGIE BURGER.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup cook rice
  • 2 potatoes, boiled and then mashed
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tbsp fennel seeds
  • 1 red onion
  • 1 small zucchini
  • 8 oz white mushrooms
  • 1 inch ginger
  • 1 chili
  • 1/2 cup baby spinach
  • 4 tbsp cilantro
  • 4 tsp corn-starch
  • 4 tsp Italian breadcrumbs
  • 4 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • salt to taste + freshly ground black pepper

Dressing ingredients:

  • 4 tbsp of Greek yogurt
  • 2tbsp of mayo
  • 2 tbsp of franks hot sauce
  • Salt and pepper

Directions

1st Step

  • Heat the oil over medium-high heat

2nd Step 

  • Add cumin seeds, once it starts to pop add turmeric and fennel seeds

3rd Step 

  • Add onions, zucchini and mushrooms cook until all the water evaporates

4th Step 

  • Add salt and pepper to taste

5th Step 

  • Let it cool down on the side

6th Step 

  • Use the mixture to combine with the cooked rice

7th Step 

  • Add spinach, ginger, serrano chili, cilantro, corn-starch and Italian breadcrumbs.

8th Step 

  • Add the 2 tsp of olive oil

9th Step 

  • Form the mixture into even patties

10th Step 

  • Heat a pan with some oil and cook the burgers until they are golden brown on each side for about 3 mins.

11th Step

  • Mix all the dressing ingredients together and spread it on the buns

12th Step 

  • Finally take the patty put it on the bottom bun and add topping of your choosing.
