Sri Lanka is the land of spices. Sri Lankans prepare delicious curry dishes to eat with rice. Spicy chicken stir fry is an appetizing dish prepared by combining chicken and Sri Lankan spices. This is a super easy recipe that is worth trying at home. You can eat this with rice or you can dip bread into this flavorsome curry. This dish is inspired by a famous Thai basil chicken dish. What we are going to present today is some sort of a Sri Lankan version of the Thai Basil Chicken dish. This curry can make a plain bowl of rice into a mouth-watering meal. Let’s see how to prepare Spicy Chicken Stir Fry.
Ingredients
01) Chicken- 225g (thigh fillets or breast)
02) Fish sauce -2 tbsp.
03) Oyster sauce-2tbsp
04) Soy sauce– 3 tbsp.
05) Large bird chilies-2
06) Water- 2tbsp
07) Garlic-6 cloves
08) Sugar-1tsp
09) Oil – 2tbsp
Method
1st step-
Crush Garlic and bird chilies until it becomes a fine paste.
2 nd step-
Then cut the chicken into small pieces or you can Mince it.
3rd Step-
Combine the paste prepared earlier to chicken and add 1 tbsp. of Soy sauce, 1 tbsp. of fish sauce, 1 tbsp. of oyster sauce.
Then mix it until all is well combined.
Leave it for 10 minutes.
4th step-
Take a pan, keep it on the stove, and heat it.
Then add marinated chicken and put the lid on and cook it for 5 minutes.
5th step
After 5 minutes add the remaining sauces and sugar.
Again close the lid and let it simmer until all the flavors are absorbed by the chicken.
Then give it a good stir and it’s done.
Note
You can add chopped carrots for more taste and more nutrition.
