Plot Summary
A news reporter fiercely narrates an incident that’s going to take place. He announces to the viewers that a construction crew is going to blow up an apartment to demolish the building. A countdown starts and at the end of zero, the bombs explode However, nothing occurs to the structure. Despite everything, it still remains tall. The construction crew then explain that it is because of the rods used to create the dwelling. Then Mohanlal is introduced who plays Kattadi as he advertises his Rod product. He exaggerates the rod’s strength. We learn that it is only a television commercial. Following that, we learn that he owns that corporation as well. Then a few moments later Meena is introduced in an interaction with a church father. Not minutes later, Prithviraj is also introduced who plays Echo, who is also the son of Mohanlal.
The whole family goes to a wedding ceremony at night where they meet Kalyani Priyadharshan’s family. They appear to be excellent family friends. But Prithviraj and Kalyani seem like they don’t go well with each other. Kalyani Priyadarshan’s father, Kurian, is one of his best friends Mohanlal. He owns an advertising firm.

At the wedding, Kurian offers Prithviraj a job, but he declines as he is one of the most sought creative directors in the nation and he is already working in a firm that is more reputed than Kurian’s. Both the families leave the wedding, and we witness the conversation between the families in their cars. Mohanlal and Meena talk about how Kalyani Priyadharshan would be a good fit for Prithviraj. However, he does not appear to be interested in that subject. He clearly expresses his dislike for her. On the other side, Kalyani’s Mother talks about Prithviraj. But both Kalyani and Kurian ignore it and they don’t show much interest in him.
Both Prithviraj and Kalyani have left their hometowns and have gone to Bangalore for their work. Surprisingly, we see Prithviraj and Kalyani Priyadharshan waking up in the same bed. It is revealed that they have been living together for more than two years without telling anyone. The house owners believe they are married. Kalyani Priyadharshan complains about how Prithviraj ignores and blames her father all the time. After some petty fights, both leave for work. Later on, when they are both homes, Kalyani Priyadharshan cuts some fruits and vegetables. While cutting, she cuts her finger, Prithviraj hurries to take a closer look where suddenly he faints because of the blood. He wakes up at the hospital with Kalyani Priyadharshan beside him. Prithviraj feels embarrassed about his conditions and smiles at his lover. Then they both go to see the doctor, where the doctor casually asks Kalyani Priyadharshan about her periods.

For which she says that she hasn’t been getting any for months. They then get her checked up. It is then revealed that she is pregnant. Things get interesting as the couple is spellbound. They think of ways to reveal it to their family. Suddenly, Mohanlal calls Prithviraj to come home. He rushes there, and upon arrival, Mohanlal reveals something spicier, the story continues how the couple reveals the surprise to their family, and what obstacle they come across while trying to do so.
The Humor
Bro Daddy was funny in many ways. The Dialogues, the acting, and the screenplay were perfect for a comical movie. Bro Daddy doesn’t force you to laugh, they don’t shove comedy in the audience’s face. But instead, Bro Daddy is beautifully crafted and even in times of peril, Bro Daddy tends to evoke laughter. This is the type of movie where we must not consider Logic. Bro Daddy should be witnessed with a free mind and with a notion to laugh everything off. The director and actor Prithiviraj has undoubtedly done a very good job. While entering the movie, people might have expected something like Lucifer, which was a political thriller. But Prithviraj has surprised in a good way.
Prithiviraj’s previous movie which starred Mohanlal was a serious film that involved controversial topics. We all thought that was the director’s comfort zone. But he proved us wrong with a good light-hearted film, Bro Daddy, which can be watched and enjoyed by people of all ages.
The Cast
Casting is a decisive aspect of a comical film. In Bro Daddy, the actors have done a wonderful job in spurring laughter by their expressions and dialogue delivery. It is a star-studded film, but it doesn’t feel like one. All the actors do their job comfortably while also giving the perfect output.

Other Pros and Cons
Pros:
The cinematography in Bro Daddy is very pleasing and aesthetic which fits the tone of the movie very well. Moreover, the background score matches the movie, where it neither goes over the top nor too low. The scene premises are very well set. The direction and screenplay should be applauded as well.
Cons:
Even though it is a comedy film. Some aspects go over the top where it misses continuity in the plot. The story sometimes jumps all around places making things unclear.
