Restaurants in north America with food challenges.

Restaurants in north America with food challenges.

For a decade or so food Challenges has risen massively in North America, from having competition to youtubers who have got on very famous from eating a monstrous amount of food for views and for glory. Restaurant’s has started taking a liking and has started the “FOOD CHALLANGES” where they have you a meal that IS IMPOSSIBLE to finish, if you do ends up finishing the meal is free and most places you get your picture on the wall and a free t-shirt. So youtuber pros and regular people who enjoys a challenge usually takes these on for glory and a free meal; if you don’t end up finishing it will cost you some serious dollars. Here’s few restaurants with a giant food challenge and few people who somehow managed to do the “IMPOSSIBLE”.

#5) In Speers Rd, Oakville, Ontario, where you will find one of the biggest breakfasts in entire Canada.

  • This insane breakfast weighs in at 7 LBS, comes with 3 eggs, 3 pancakes, 3 slices of French toast, 3 sausages, 3 slices of bacon, 3 slices of ham, 3 orders of hash browns and 20 oz. of coffee/10 oz. of juice. now you might think “I can finish that” it’s not easy as it looks, one of the people who have finished this is called Randy Santel who has almost 1.5MILLION subscribers took him 40+ mins to finish with about roughly 8000+ calories. The meal itself is worth $30 which is about 7000 LKR if you finish meal is free and you get free t-shirt; if you don’t end up finishing you pay for the meal and get to leave with some shame.

#4) Le Gros Gras Challenge // Le Gras Dur in Montreal, QC

Le Gros Gras Challenge __ Le Gras Dur in Montreal, QC

  • Le Gros Gras Challenge is based off in Montréal, Quebec. The city of poutine so it’s not surprising that you walked in here to find poutine which is consist of 5 pounds fries, cheese curds, sausages, fried chicken and caramelized onions and a massive 2-pound burger alongside of beer and ice cream float. Now this is very calorie heavy meal with over 10000+ calorie meter. You also only get one hour to finish said meal. If you succeed you will receive the meal for free a t-shirt and your picture on the wall of fame. BUT if you fail you have to pay $50 which is about 10000 LKR and you get your picture on the wall of SHAME! SO far no has come close to finishing it. Probably because the restaurant is not going to pay for medical bills after completing it.

#3) The Kitchen Sink Challenge, based in California, USA.

  • If you have sweet tooth and can handle brain freezes like a champ, the kitchen sink challenge at the San Francisco Creamery is made just for you. With a whopping 8 scoops of your choice of ice cream, 8 servings of different toppings, massive amount of whipped cream on top whip cream along with toasted almonds, and cherries. It’s made to eat to six people. But if you can pull it by yourself, you get free ice cream for a year. This comes out to a total of $70. That is about 15000k LKR. the current Kitchen Sink record is 20 minutes and 37 seconds by Jamie “The Bear” McDonald of Hartford, Connecticut. Imagine having the gulls to take it on by yourself and then finishing it in 20 mins, if you’re ever feeling like you want free ice cream for a year your ticket is just around the corner. Go ahead and give this monstrosity a try.

#2) The 72-Ounce Steak Challenge – The Big Texan Steak Ranch in Amarillo, Texas

The 72-Ounce Steak Challenge - The Big Texan Steak Ranch in Amarillo, Texas

The 72-Ounce Steak Challenge – The Big Texan Steak Ranch in Amarillo, Texas

  • Everything is bigger in Texas indeed. This fine dining establishment has been open since the 1960s. And the legend has it the owner back in the day was making these for the cowboys to see who can eat the most. Few decades later here we are still trying to see who can finish it the fastest. Rules are as followed. You need to eat a meal that includes a 72-ounce steak, shrimp cocktail, baked potato, salad, roll, and butter in 60 minutes without getting up. 72 oz pure red meat is no joke and it must take a heavy toll on the body itself. Because of that people have got sick from eating too much so you will lose if you aren’t feeling well. You must pay the $85 before you start. They will fully refund you’re money if you do win. Along with getting the money back you will also get a picture on the wall of shame a free t shirt and a cowboy boot mug to take home with you as an award. And if that’s not enough you also get an official certificate. The $85 dollars roughly add up to 17000 LKR and considering the cut of meat and the taste pro eaters describe it seems worth every penny. There have been more than few people who have completed this includes, Randy Santel, Matt Stonie and Beard meet Food.

#1) The Godzilla Roll Challenge – 4858 Bill Gardner Pkwy, Locust Grove, GA 30248

  • Just by the name of this you can imagine the sheer size and volume of this sushi roll. If you’re fan of sushi this might be the exactly what you need to try. But it is if you have a spare $150 which is roughly 30000LKR. The Godzilla is a made out of every single sushi meat that they use in the restaurant. This 6-pound roll is topped with avocado’s, crispy crab wontons to make it look like the Godzilla is dead on the plate itself. All though I must say the work of art is beautiful and I hope the taste reflects that. You have 45 mins to finish this insane roll or you would have to pay the amount of $150. And picture on the wall of shame. Now if you do end up finishing it by some miracle you get the whole meal for free. And a t-shirt to show off for the rest of your life. Once again one of the few people to finish this is Mr. Randy Santel. He is someone who goes around North America absolutely destroying food challenges. If you love seafood and looking for a Challange make sure to stop by at the locust grove location.

Creativity of food

This is just a hand full of places that shows their creativity with food.  People from far and wide come to try out the challenge. It’s a very good way to get your business recognized. But at the same time enjoy. Food is language every knows and love it’s one thing that connects us all around the world no matter where we are, food is life; food is love.
