Sri Lanka is very famous for its delicious street food. Tourists who visit Sri Lanka never fail to taste Sri Lankan street food. Egg Roti is a very common street food item in Sri Lanka. Egg Roti is a chewy roti that can be eaten with curries such as Chicken curry, Dhal Curry, or Coconut Sambal. Some people prepare a spicy Sambal with chilies which are also known as Nayi Miris Sambal to eat egg roti. Eggroti is not only a delicious food dish but also a dish full of egg proteins and carbohydrates. Moreover, Egg roti cuisine is super easy and you can make it at home as an evening snack or a breakfast.
ingredients:
01) 4 eggs
02) All-purpose flour- 2 cups
03) Coconut oil
04) salt
05) pepper
06) Water- 3/4 cups
method:-
01) Take a bowl and put flour, water, salt, and coconut oil, and mix it with your hands until well combined.
Knead the dough well for 10 mins.
02) Leave the dough for 1 hour.
03) Cut it into 4 pieces. Make a softball using each piece. Brush the surface of the balls with coconut oil and leave it for another hour.
04) Take the roti dough balls and flatten the balls using a rolling pin.
05) Roll it until it gets super thin approximately about 3-4 mm thick.
Use oil to smoother flattening.
06) Keep a pan on the stove and heat it. brush oil on the pan.
07) put the flattened roti into the pan and put an egg on it. add salt and black pepper to taste.
08) Fold the roti into a square shape. Cook it under low flame until one side is done.
Turn the roti upside down and cook the other side as well.
And ta-da your mouth-watering egg roti is ready for you. You can eat it with any curry.

make sure not to leak the egg while folding the roti
