Plot Summary
In the first episode, we are shown that a documentary is being filmed in a paper company called Dunder Mifflin. Michael Scott, the protagonist of The Office, is introduced as the regional manager of Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton location. Jim and pam are later introduced, who eventually becomes the super couple of Dunder Mifflin. The Office’s first season deals with how the higher management calls the Scranton branch for downsizing. But Michael Scott refuses to obligate, as he struggles to choose an employee to fire.
Furthermore, we also get to know that Pam is in a relationship with Roy, who works in the warehouse. Jim, however, has a crush on her, but he doesn’t let her know that as it would ruin her current relationship. But rumors spread around in The Office that Jim is in love with Pam. As the show moves on, we see many relationships develop, including Michael Scott’s relationship with Jan, who is his boss.

Dwight Schrute, who is the right-hand man of Michael Scott, also makes out with Angela, his coworker who works at the accounts department. Later on in the show, the employees go on a booze cruise where Roy sets a wedding date with Pam. When Jim gets to know this, he gets depressed and heartbroken. But he later kisses Pam at the end of The Office season 2, where he confesses his love to Pam while she is still engaged to Roy. Jim later realizes that what he did was wrong and decides to accept the offer for a transfer to the Stamford branch to forget his trauma.
The Office season 3
In The Office season 3, Jim slowly develops a crush on Karen, who is his coworker in the Dunder Mifflin Stamford branch. We are also introduced to Andy Bernard, who later plays a vital role in the show. The higher management decides to merge the Stamford and Scranton branch. So, Jim returns to his old workplace and some other employees, including Karen, who he began dating. Meanwhile, Pam has decided to break off her engagement with Roy due to several reasons. So, tension arises between Jim, Pam, and Karen. In the season-ending, Karen gets transferred, and Ryan takes Jan’s job when she gets fired for poor performance. Jim then asks out Pam, where she accepts it happily.
As The Office show progresses, we see a lot of changes being made. Jim marries Pam and has kids. Michael breaks up with Jan finds love with his HR Holly. A few new employees come and go as well. But the most significant change that occurs is Michael Scott leaving the branch and moving out with his girlfriend, Holly. Following this, some new managers take his position who take turns of the position temporarily. But the show ends on a happy note where we are shown what the employees do after leaving the company.
The Humor
The Office is a rare sitcom one will get to watch. Every episode will surely make you burst out of laughter. That’s a guarantee. Thus, making you binge-watch it numerous episodes in a row. The dark, witty, and the counters that are timed ideally make this special. One of the things that enhance the comedy is the casts’ performance. In The Office, some jokes are unbelievably dark, where we won’t believe what we just saw.

The Awkward Moments
While watching The Office, we come across many scenes where the creators decided to make the viewers very uncomfortable. It doesn’t come out as a hostile entity, fortunately. We later learn that it’s the nature of the show, and it is one of the things that make it unique. Even though it’s a comical show, the creators make us feel pity for certain characters. Even though it is portrayed in a funny tone, it still makes an impact.
Where things went wrong
The Office show was going swimmingly. Everyone loved the Dunder Mifflin Scranton branch until the producers somehow decided to put an end to Michael Scott, the regional manager of the Dunder Mifflin Scranton branch. This was a huge setback for The Office series.. Viewers were so disappointed and could not digest his departure. The creators tried to compensate for his loss to regain their audience but failed miserably as no one could fill his shoes. There was only one Michael Scott of Dunder Mifflin, and he was irreplaceable. Soon after he quit, the show’s quality started to deteriorate, and it felt like it was going nowhere.

Other Pros and cons
Pros: The way the show is filmed is incredible. You become accustomed to it as you watch it. The Documentary style of filmography makes us really close to the Dunder Mifflin Scranton branch. It gives us plenty of reason to believe that we’re part of Dunder Mifflin and that we’re employees there. The surprise cameos make this even more special. You’ll adore each and every one of them. Some of them just come for minutes of the show, but they’ll make a significant impact and make the character memorable.
Cons: The only issue you’ll see is the Departure of Michael Scott from Dunder Mifflin. That moment is so emotional and will surely leave you in tears. But it is disheartening to see the show go downhill from then on.
