The Scarborough Campus, which is a regional campus of Coventry University, was established to expand higher education access in the Yorkshire Coast region. Then, the Campus developed as part of the Scarborough Sports Village regeneration project. That investment was approximately £ 14 million in campus development. The main building of Coventry University Scarborough was opened in 2016. This building was built to expand higher education access along the Yorkshire Coast and support regional economic development. This building has a modern architectural design with a glass-fronted structure and an open-plan internal layout. Also, there is a minimal corridor design to encourage interaction and large windows for natural lighting.
