Plot Summary
Season 1
We are introduced to Logan Roy, CEO, and Chairman of Waystar, in a deteriorated condition. Waystar is one of the largest corporations in the United States, and it controls ATN, a media organization. Logan Roy and his family are among the wealthiest families in the states. As Succession TV Series slowly proceeds, we understand that Logan Roy has four children. As Logan Roy’s health condition gradually worsens, Kendal Roy, who is the second eldest son, believes that he will be his father’s successor and that he will run his empire in no time.
He has this emotion because he is the one who is primarily involved in business matters and looks after the company in his stead in times where Logan Roy is sick. As for his siblings, Connor, the eldest, looks after a vast farm and does not show interest in his father’s empire. Shiv, Logan Roy’s Daughter, does not show interest in the family business. Roman Roy on the other hand is portrayed as a useless adult who doesn’t seem to care about anything at all. He messes around in the office without a care in the world until later when he gets straightened up by his father’s father and learns lessons on his way.
Kendal tries his best
This spurs up a sense of responsibility in him, and he starts acting up his age. Currently, as Logan Roy is in lousy shape, Kendal tries his best to win his father’s trust and convince him that he is worthy of being his successor. But as we watch the Succession TV Series, we understand that Kendal has had a history with drugs and his ex-wife. This always puts Kendal in bad light from his father’s perspective, regardless of how much he tries. Kendal contrives to crack up a deal and is pleased that his father will be able to watch his accomplishment. Logan Roy has promised him the position and tells Kendal that he will announce it at a dinner party that he holds at his house later. Kendal looks forward to this as this is huge for him.
Everyone arrives at the dinner party later on. The happiest one to join the party is Kendal, as he awaits the announcement that will change his future. Kendal meets his dad alone in a room to ensure that his position is fixed. But Logan Roy drops a bomb that he will continue to be the CEO at the company. Kendal gets heartbroken. Following this, the first season of The Succession TV Series focuses on how Kendal Roy tries to put his father down from his throne so that he can regain it for himself. But all his attempts go in vain, and Logan wins in the end.
Season 2
In the second season of The Succession TV Series, Waystar company gets strangled in a sexual harassment case that took place decades ago. As the file cases float up, the whole family falls in trouble, and they struggle to find a way to overcome it. Kendal manages to return to his family, but the family regard him as a traitor after what he did to his father. At the end of the second season of the Succession TV Series, Kendal Roy agrees to put the blame on himself regarding the sexual harassment case, but he pulls up a last-minute trick and betrays his family again.
Season 3
In the third season of The Succession TV Series, we see how Kendal Roy fights his father’s father over the company’s ownership. On the other hand, his siblings always stand behind their father and fight for him. At the end of the third season of The Succession TV Series, the children of Logan Roy turn against him due to certain unfortunate events. However, this backfires, and they become the sufferers. The third season of The Succession TV Series ends with this, and we eagerly await the next season to be fuller of surprises and twists.
The Family Drama
The Succession TV Series is an epitome of a family drama as this always does justice to its genre. The Roy family is full of complex problems, both emotionally and physically. It takes time for us to understand, but the emotional drama is so enjoyable to watch. Each character has a different position, playing unique roles in their family. This is what makes The Succession TV Series so unique.
The Screenplay
Being a show about a family business, the Succession TV Series, you might think of it as a boring TV Series. That’s what people would be expecting as they dive into the show. However, it is the polar opposite of boredom. Every scene impacts the TV Series, and they are a feast to our eyes. The show gets really intense as we witness compelling business meetings and interactions between the family members. The writing is so well done that even long conversations don’t seem boring.
The Cast performance
Each cast member scores tirelessly as they flawlessly perform their role. We enjoy their performances thoroughly as they invoke emotions in our minds and force our minds to have an opinion on them. We connect with The Succession TV Series because of this. The cast has bagged several awards, and rightfully so as they deserve every bit of it.
Other Pros and Cons
Pros :
The Music composition plays a vital part in making this TV Series a masterpiece. It amplifies numerous sequences in the series. The cinematography sets a tone in our minds to which we perfectly blend it. It fits the genre of the series without a doubt.
Cons :
The viewers might not be familiar with some of the terms and activities manifested in the TV Series as most of them are not familiar with high end business terms. But it does not come out as a colossal disadvantage nonetheless.

The Succession is a must-watch TV series due to its intense screenplay and highly emotional drama that blows our minds.
