Now, Bolton University from Manchester, England, collaborates with countries such as Pakistan, the UAE, and Sri Lanka. This means that contemporary instructional procedures, together with curricula of diverse degree programs, assure the continued success of those students in graduating. Herein lies, therefore, Bolton University, as the best choice for those students who desire the qualifications that are reputedly recognized in a global job market.

1. University History

Initial Beginnings and Foundation

University History

University History

Old Bolton now stands as a university embodying a spirit that is over 100 years old. The institution originally began as the Bolton Mechanics Institute in 1824, during the heyday of the Industrial Revolution. During this time, the area of Bolton was undergoing commercial changes requiring mechanical knowledge, dependent upon the university. Therefore, the original institution was an important part of providing technical and practical knowledge to the job market of an economically-stricken town, which eventually nourished the working culture in England.

This institute faced a myriad of changes in the 19th and 20th centuries. By 1926, Bolton Technical College had been renamed as an institution for technical and vocational training targeted toward meeting the demands of regional engineering and textile industries. This greater part contributed to the creation and image of the college based on justifiable educational standards.

Roadway to Higher Education

This university passed one of the most significant benchmarks in 1982, when it was converted from Bolton Technical College to Bolton Institute of Higher Education. It was the beginning of a new era in which the University could confer higher educational degrees. Moreover, Bolton instituted collaborations with other universities for accreditation of its diploma courses, thus allowing it to generate credibility in education to the present moment.

University History

Another milestone for the college came in 1999 when it became Bolton College because from this date, it was able to confer its degrees. So, this meant that the institution was officially endorsed at the levels of research potential and educational standards.

Popularity Achievements of the University

The crowning moment of the turning period of the university was in 2005, when it became a college. And that is how it is commonly known today, as the University of Bolton. This achievement was the result of years of academic excellence and the success of its graduate students. Furthermore, with this upgrade into a full university, Bolton could now sustain its studies, programs, and expansion beyond England and into international networking.
