Ladies consider MAC lipsticks as an essential item in their beauty kits. That is why their MAC Metallic Lips create a high-impact glamorous effect. But do they deliver what they clam to deliver? Being a girl who enjoys a little bit of shimmer, I decided to try a few shades of these. Now, for all those of who love dancing the dance dark and deep, swimming’ with the sharks of the glitter age – here’s the 411 from the blinging’ colors to the (sometimes gross) glitter!
First Impressions:
Sometimes what glistens isn’t gold, but it can be silver, copper and much more.
The packaging is collaboration characteristic of MAC Makeup – a matte black tube with the name of the shade on the base. Simple and uncomplicated but sed effective at delivering what it promises. The CPB chapter is where the lipsticks themselves are introduced, and this is where the change of events (magic or mayhem) begins. These are filled with small to small-medium sized glitter particles, and based on the tone, the level varies from metallic to wild west flashy.
The Good Stuff: Bravo!!!
A Spectrum of Shimmer:
a good palette, which is spread from cool pinkish silver excitingly to hot-copper bronzes. From the light orchid to the deep burgundy, and the strong hematite to the soft platinum, there is a metallic shade for each emotion and event.
Buildable Color:
To be more specific, the color intensity can then be increased gradually in different levels depending on how many times the swipe has been done. This makes them suitable for an easy one-step opaque or a bold eye-catching metallic look.
Lightweight and Comfortable (Mostly):
The texture is somewhat runny but surprisingly does not weigh much on the lips and feels quite comfortable to wear. This is not embarrassing like some metallic lipsticks are; they tend to dry the lips in the long run.
The Not-So-Good Stuff: A Few Things to Consider
While the shine is undeniable, there are a few things to keep in mind:
Glitter Fallout City: Warning – glitter may fall on your clothes. Lipsticks can get a little bit mussy at times, so it is better to apply them carefully, especially when dealing with deeper hues.
Not for the Faint of Heart:
One thing is for certain these are not lipsticks for a lady who enjoys a low profile makeup look. They’re eye-catching so are perfect for standing out, so expect the stares and questions.
Patch Test Party:
From this research, it has been noted that the above glamor gunk glitter can be irritating to those who come into contact with it. I advise that one should always perform a patch test. Check how it turns out before applying it all over the lips.
The Final Verdict:
If you want a lip product that will give you a Hollywood glamour type of finish with a little shimmer then these lipsticks are perfect for you. They are available in a beautiful variety of colors. Also, they last quite long when dried. They do not feel heavy on the lips once applied. But they have that glitter effect. But for some people it can be so intense that the items cannot be used on a daily basis.
